1. Who can use Artist Diary?
Artist Diary is made for working artists, event organizers and visitors looking for talent. Choose the account that matches what you want to do.
- Artist: singers, dancers, folk performers, mehndi artists, photographers, anchors and other creative professionals who want to show their work.
- Event Organizer: event planners, team leaders, casting directors and production teams who need to find artists and keep their team details organised.
- Visitor: someone looking for an artist or organizer for a wedding, college function, family celebration or company event.
Artist and Event Organizer accounts can have searchable public profiles. A Visitor account is for discovering and contacting artists and organizers; it does not appear as an artist listing.
2. Give your work a profile that you can share
An artist profile brings together your name, photo, art category, specific art form, location and introduction. Instead of sending these details separately whenever an enquiry arrives, share your profile link or QR code.
For example, a folk singer in Kutch can add the type of singing they perform and their location. An organizer can open that profile, read the introduction and review the public portfolio before discussing a programme.
Use named portfolio folders to separate different kinds of work. A mehndi artist could keep bridal designs and other occasion designs in different folders. Photos and YouTube performance videos help visitors understand the work you actually do.
For the setup steps, follow how to manage your artist profile and how to add portfolio photos and videos.
3. Find local artists and organizers, then make an enquiry
Search lets you narrow profiles by category, art form and location, including State, District and Taluka. This is useful when you know the kind of artist you need but do not have a name or contact number.
- Mehndi artist in Ahmedabad: look for the relevant art form and area for a wedding or family function.
- Folk artist in Kutch: review the specific folk art form and performance examples for your cultural programme.
- Singer in Vadodara: check the artist’s work before asking about your event date.
- Event organizer near you: choose organizer profiles and use the location filters to narrow the area.
These are examples of searches you can make; matching profiles depend on the artists and organizers registered in that area. Read the Search page guide for the filter steps.
Search → Open the profile → Review the work → Contact the artist or organizer
Sign in to use the available contact options. If the artist or organizer has made a verified mobile number public, you can reveal it and call directly. Send Message provides another way to make an enquiry when messaging is available.
Discuss the date, venue, work requirement, availability and fee directly. Artist Diary helps you make contact; the artist and client agree the booking and payment themselves.
4. Keep an organizer’s artist list ready for the next programme
An event organizer often works with several artists across different programmes. Artist Details keeps those records together, so the team does not have to search through old conversations for every name and document.
- Artist Details: add artist records manually or use details shared through accepted connections.
- Connections: manage received profiles and sent requests, and mark frequently used connections as favourites.
- Travel Plan: save trip information and assign the artists travelling for that programme.
- Driver Details: keep driver information and relevant documents ready when event arrangements require them.
For example, an organizer preparing a cultural programme can keep the participating artists’ details and travel information together. Available PDF or Excel exports help when preparing team records; access and limits depend on the selected plan.
5. Record event dates, payments and performance requirements
Artists and organizers also need a record of the work after an enquiry becomes a confirmed assignment. Artist Diary has separate tools for event records and performance preparation.
- Event Diary: save event dates, venue, agreed amount, payments received and expenses.
- Travel Plan: keep departure dates, destination, travel mode and travel documents with the trip.
- Performance: store a performance name, duration and related PDFs, such as a song list or script.
- Technical: note the microphones, instruments and other stage requirements needed for a performance.
A singer, for example, can record a confirmed programme, save the song list and note the sound requirements. Later, the payment entries help the singer check what has been received and what is still pending. Entering a payment records an amount; it does not transfer money.
The Event Diary guide for artists and organizers explains how to add and review those records.
6. Choose what visitors can see
Your work profile and your saved records serve different purposes. Use profile visibility settings to control details such as your mobile number, email and address. Make selected portfolio folders public and keep other folders private.
Bank and identity details are not part of your public introduction. Review connection permissions before sharing private information with an organizer. Keep only the details needed for your work and check the privacy settings before sharing your profile link.
7. What is free, and what do paid plans offer?
Creating a profile, keeping it public, being found in search and receiving enquiries are available without a paid plan. Artist Diary does not take commission from the work you arrange with a client.
Paid plans provide additional visibility and higher limits for relevant tools, records or exports. Check the current plan details inside the app before choosing one. A profile helps others discover your work, but registration does not guarantee an enquiry or booking.
