Watch the Artist Home page walkthrough
This short Hindi video shows the main sections and where to find them. Watch the Artist Diary Home page video on YouTube, or play it below.
1. Open the menu
Tap the menu icon at the top left of Home. Use the menu to open My Profile, Settings and other account pages.
The menu helps you move from Home to the account section you need. For example, open My Profile to update your artist details. You can return to Home after finishing your work in that section.
2. Check notifications
Tap the notification icon at the top right of Home. Open a notification to read it.
Use notifications to keep track of activity on your Artist Diary account. Open the notification and read its full message to understand what has happened and whether you need to take any action.
3. Search for an artist or organizer
Tap the search bar → Enter your search → Open a profile
The Search page helps you find artists and event organizers by their work and location. For example, type “Actor in Ahmedabad” to look for actors in that city. Choose Artist or Organizers to narrow the results.
Use the location and art-form filters when you want to find artists or organizers in your area. You can choose a state, district and taluka or block. Results use the locations saved on profiles, so check the location shown.
Open an artist’s profile to read their work details and view the photos or performance videos they have shared in Portfolio. Open an organizer’s profile to read their details. This helps you decide whether to contact the artist or organizer.
If a public, verified mobile number is available, sign in and tap the eye icon beside it to see the number. You can then contact the artist or organizer on that number. Private mobile numbers are not shown.
You can also tap Send Message on the profile to send a message request. Mention why you are contacting the artist or organizer, such as a performance enquiry. An accepted message request lets you continue the conversation in the app.
4. Read What’s New
This section shows artist news, awards and notices about events or other work opportunities.
Tap a card → Read the details
Tap View all to see more posts. Check the date and the details before you apply or contact anyone.
Open a post that interests you and read who it is for, where it takes place and any dates mentioned. For example, a notice may be relevant to a particular art form or city. This helps you decide whether to respond.
5. Check your Upcoming Events
Upcoming Events shows the future events you have saved in Event Diary.
- Tap an event card to see its details.
- Tap View all to open your event list.
If you have no future events saved, this section may not appear.
Use this section as a reminder of the events you have already entered in Event Diary. Before leaving for a performance, open its card to check the saved date, time and venue. It shows your saved schedule rather than a list of new bookings.
6. Add an event
Tap Add Event → Fill in the event details → Tap Save
Add the event name, start date, start time and venue. This saves the event in your Event Diary.
For payments, expenses and documents, follow the Event Diary guide.
For example, if you have agreed to perform at a college function, create a record with that function’s date and venue. You can return to Event Diary later to record the advance, remaining payment and expenses for the same event.
7. Add work to your portfolio
Tap Add Portfolio to start a photo or video folder. Create the folder, then add your work to it.
For example, keep photos from one performance together so people can easily see your work.
Your portfolio is where you show examples of your work. An artist can add performance photos to a Photo folder and YouTube performance links to a Video folder. Give each folder a clear name so an organizer can understand the work before contacting you.
8. Find event organizers
Find Meet the Organizers → Tap a profile
Read the organizer’s details before contacting them or sending a connection request. Tap View all to find more organizers.
This section helps artists discover event organizers on Artist Diary. Open an organizer’s profile and check the available work, location and contact details. If the organizer seems relevant to your work, use an available contact option or send a connection request.
9. View other artists
Look for Artists near you on Home. The video calls this section Newly Joined Artists.
Tap an artist’s profile → See their work and location
You may also see Pro Artists and Pro Organizers on Home. Tap a profile to see its details.
Use this section to discover other artists and learn about their art forms. Open an artist’s profile to check the location and shared portfolio. The profile gives you more context than the Home card, especially when you want to contact or work with that artist.
10. Send a request to join an organizer’s team
Find Connect to Organizer Team on Home. Ask the organizer for their Artist Diary QR code.
Tap Scan → Scan the organizer’s QR code → Send a join request
You become connected to the team after the organizer accepts your request. Scanning an artist’s QR code opens that artist’s profile.
A team connection is different from simply viewing an organizer’s profile or sending a message. It links your artist account to that organizer’s team after approval. Read the request details and your sharing settings so you understand which information you are agreeing to share.
11. Check your sent requests
In Connect to Organizer Team, tap Request. Here you can check the connection requests you have sent.
Check this page after asking to join an organizer’s team. Sending a request does not mean you are already connected. Wait for the organizer’s response; the connection is completed only after the request is accepted.
12. Share your profile
Find Share Profile → Tap the button or QR code
Choose a sharing option to send your profile to an artist or organizer.
The QR button in Connect to Organizer Team also opens sharing options. To copy your Artist Diary ID, tap the ID bar.
Share your profile when an organizer asks for examples of your work. The organizer can open it to review your artist details and shared portfolio. Keep your profile and the folders you want to show public, and check that your contact details are current.
