How to Manage Your Artist Profile on Artist Diary

Update your photo, personal details, art forms and location. Learn where to save changes and control what others can see.

Watch the My Profile video

Watch the Artist Diary My Profile video on YouTube, or play it below while following this guide.

1. Open My Profile

Open the main menu → Tap My Profile

You will see your profile card and saved details. Tap a section to see the information inside it.

My Profile is the place to review the artist information saved in your account. Check your name, work details and location before sharing your profile with an organizer. This helps you spot missing or old information that you need to update.

2. Open Manage Profile

Tap Manage Profile when you want to change your details.

Save your changes before opening another section. Professional, Location, Ids & other, Bank and Privacy each have their own Save button.

You do not need to change every section at once. Open the section that needs updating, make the correction and save it there. For example, changing your address belongs in Location, while changing your art forms belongs in Professional.

3. Change your profile photo

Tap Change Photo → Choose your photo → Tap Save

Your photo helps an organizer recognise the artist behind the profile. Use a clear picture where your face is easy to see. Performance photos belong in your portfolio; the profile photo helps artists and organizers identify your account.

4. Update your personal details

On Manage Profile, update your name, gender, date of birth and About me as needed.

About me allows up to 20 words for artists. Example: “Garba dancer from Ahmedabad, performing at cultural events and weddings.”

Tap Save at the top after making your changes. You can see your login email under Mail id, but cannot change it here.

Write About me in simple words that explain your work. Mention your main art form and the kind of performances you do, while staying within the 20-word limit. This gives an organizer a quick introduction before they open your portfolio.

5. Change your username or stage name

On Manage Profile, enter your name in Username / Stage name. Check that it is available, then tap Save.

You can use up to 30 characters. Your username is part of your profile link.

After saving a new username, copy your latest profile link before sharing it.

Choose a name that artists and organizers can recognise as yours. A stage name can help when that is the name you use for your performances. Because the username is part of your profile link, use the updated link after saving a change.

6. Update your work details

Open Professional → Update your work details → Tap Save

  • Choose your category and art forms to describe your work.
  • Choose your designation, meaning your work role.
  • Add your instrument or property name, such as Tabla or Harmonium.
  • Upload your biodata PDF under My Bio data pdf, if you want to add it.

These details explain what kind of artist you are. Choose the category, art forms and work role that match your actual work, so an organizer can understand what you offer. Your biodata PDF can provide a fuller introduction alongside your shared performance photos and videos.

7. Update your mobile number

Open Professional and enter your mobile number. Choose Public to show it, or Private to hide it. Tap Save.

To show the number on your public profile, use Verify by SMS after saving. An unverified number stays hidden.

Use a number where organizers can reach you for work enquiries. Choosing Public is only one part of showing it: the number must also be verified by SMS. If you choose Private, visitors cannot see that number on your profile.

8. Update your location

Open Location → Update your details → Tap Save

Choose your state, district and taluka or block. Add or correct your address.

Choose Private for your address if you want to hide it. Your whole profile can still stay public.

Your saved location helps artists and organizers understand where you are based. Keep the state, district and taluka or block correct when you move. These details also help location searches, such as an organizer looking for an artist in Ahmedabad.

9. Update your ID records

Open Ids & other → Update your records → Tap Save

You can add your ID number, front and back ID photos, and signature image.

Turn on Share with Connection only if you want connected organizers to see these records.

This section keeps your identification records separate from your performance portfolio. Add the correct ID details and clear images when you need to maintain these records. Review Share with Connection before saving, because it controls access for your connected organizers.

10. Update your bank details

Open Bank → Update your details → Tap Save

  • Check the bank name, branch and account holder’s name.
  • Check the account number and IFSC code.
  • Add a passbook or cheque photo if needed.

Use Share with Connection only if you want connected organizers to see your bank records.

Keep the account holder’s name, account number and IFSC code correct so you can refer to accurate payment details. This page stores your bank information; entering it does not record an event payment. Received payments are recorded separately in Event Diary.

11. Choose what others can see

Open Privacy → Choose Public or Private → Tap Save

You can set visibility separately for your profile, email, mobile number, date of birth and address.

Making your whole profile private permanently removes your connections and favourites. They do not return when you make it public again. Read the confirmation carefully.

A private profile cannot send or receive connection requests or messages. You can still read existing chats.

Decide which details you want organizers and other profile visitors to see. For example, you can keep your profile public so your work is visible while keeping your address private. Review individual settings before choosing to make the whole profile private.

12. Check your saved changes

Return to My Profile → Open the section you changed

Check that your new details are saved. Tap your profile card to see how your public profile looks.

Check the saved section rather than assuming that typing a new value has saved it. Then review the public view to see how your artist details appear. Your own view may show private information that other artists and organizers cannot see.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I edit my artist details on Artist Diary?

Open My Profile from the main menu, then tap Manage Profile. Edit personal details there, or open Professional, Location, Ids & other, Bank or Privacy.

How long can my About me text be?

An Artist account allows up to 20 words. Write a short description of your work rather than a full biodata.

Can I change my login email in My Profile?

No. You can see your login email under Mail id, but cannot change it on this page. You can choose whether others can see it.

Why is my mobile number hidden after I choose Public?

A public mobile number must also be verified by SMS. Save the number, then use Verify by SMS in Professional.

Does Save update every profile section at once?

No. Manage Profile saves personal details. Professional, Location, Ids & other, Bank and Privacy have separate Save buttons.

Keep your details current

Update the section that needs attention, save it and check the result. Return to My Profile whenever your details change.
